These are my dinner plates, FINALLY. They took me
a long time to do but are probably the nicest things I've
ever made. I used ceramic paint to make all of the patterns
and then used lazertran paper to put my images onto them.
It's a shame my photos of them are so rubbish because in
reality they look a lot nicer.
I'd also like to point out to anyone who reads this that I'm
really not just obsessed with fish... It's a project...
These are my final posters for my Big Fish
Fight project. One of them is to discourage
buying intensively farmed salmon and the
other is other alternative fish you should be
buying instead of Cod, Salmon and Tuna.
I am really pleased with how they came out,
however the colours came up completely
different on my computer screen to how they
look on the posters...
For the Alphabet brief we were asked to take one object
or photo and create an alphabet based on it. I chose this
wierd fish toy I own mainly because I was really excited
to see if I could make a whole alphabet only using the
bodies of different fish. I am really happy with how it came
out. I originally planned to screenprint them all in one colour
and made one A3 positive of them in black. Instead I
changed the colours on photoshop which was much
easier. This is the first alphabet I've ever done and will
defianately be doing more in future.

poster and I will also choose six of them to put on my plates. These
started off as black screenprint positives that I changed around in
photoshop. Some of them seem a bit garish like this but I hope they
look better against a patterned background.

I think it's really interesting how even something
you eat off can be an art form. I want to use
really bright and appealing colours on my
own plates so that attention is drawn to them.
My main aim is to put alternative fish on them,
encouraging people to eat a wider range of

on photographs we had taken. I decided to illustrate a
few lonely hearts ads I found online. When I had sieved
through all the prostitutes I found these, which I found
hilarious. I used collage because its a quick way to put
a lot of information onto the page.
The photos below are what I used to base my images
around. I wanted them to look really mundane and
ordinary so just took them around my mum's house.
